Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Apptad Inc. as an Analog and Digital Hardware Designer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing new fire alarm products and supporting existing product lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop analog and digital hardware for new fire alarm products
  • Support existing product lines with hardware design and development
  • Collaborate with firmware/software teams to define and implement firmware, drivers, and algorithms
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and launch
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement
Requirements
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 6+ years of experience in electronics design related to analog, power, audio, or embedded products/systems
  • Discrete electronic component-level knowledge and experience
  • Experience with electronic CAD (schematic capture, circuit simulation, or related)
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment that spans multiple countries
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ years of end-to-end integrated product development experience
  • Experience on fire and safety-related products design/development and applicable standards
  • Systems-level engineering experience with complex integrated electromechanical assemblies
  • Demonstrated domain knowledge in compute & systems development, proven track record in building advanced technology & product development
