Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or team leader. This role involves attending to the general health care and comfort of patients, observing and recording treatment and patient progress, and reporting to the supervisor any patient condition or reaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer prescribed medications
  • Monitor vital signs (B/P, temperatures, pulse, resp.)
  • Provide bed baths, sitz baths, and oral hygiene care
  • Assist with lifting and transferring patients
  • Document patient intake and output
  • Collect specimens (urine, stool, sputum)
  • Perform pulse oximetry and apply cardiac monitors
  • Administer blood and blood components
  • Apply restraints and follow restraint policy
  • Provide patient and family education
  • Assist with patient care and maintain a clean and safe environment
Requirements:
  • Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Arkansas
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS, PALS certification encouraged
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Pass pharmacology test with a score of 80% or above
