Pharmacy Manager Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct a team of pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, to ensure seamless delivery of patient care and services.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including inventory management, customer service, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, increase customer satisfaction, and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and excellence in patient care.
Requirements:
  • Active pharmacy license in the state where you are employed.
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • Immunization Certification through an accredited organization.
  • Listed on the pharmacy state license as the 'pharmacist in charge'.
  • Submission of required information/documents to your state PMP administrator to register for PMP access (in states with active PMP for pharmacist use).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
