Job Title: Senior Radar Processing Engineer for Electronic Warfare Applications

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Radar Processing Engineer to join our team at Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA). As a senior engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing advanced radar processing algorithms for electronic warfare applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and enhance radar signal processing software algorithms for synthetic aperture radar (SAR), optimal waveform design, MIMO signal design and analysis, EM spectrum (EMS) management, and electronic warfare techniques.
  • Create compressed RCS return representations for real-time processing using scattering center approaches or other state-of-the-art methods.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to advance automatic target recognition (ATR) algorithms.
Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • 7+ years of experience in radar signal processing or electronic warfare applications.
  • Expertise in synthetic aperture radar (SAR), automatic target recognition (ATR), and/or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active (or prior) security clearance of Secret or higher (TS//SCI preferred).
  • Advanced degree in engineering, computer science, physics, or related discipline.
  • Experience with radar range measurements, calibration, and signal processing.
  • Experience with open system architectures (SOSA, Big Iron, etc.).
  • Experience programming field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) for real-time processing.
