About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Vice President-Surety Claims to join our Claims Team on the West Coast. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the direction of our claims department and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor a team of claims professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional claims handling results.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage assigned claims, exercising sound judgment and technical expertise to achieve equitable claim service and minimize losses.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President-Surety Claims to develop and execute department initiatives, driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.
  • Consult with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance claims handling and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as business, law, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in surety claims, including prior management experience.
  • Proven track record of success in claims leadership, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and business growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
