Job Title: Division Controller

D.R. Horton, Inc., a leading homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking a seasoned Division Controller to oversee the financial management of a division. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the division's financial reporting, including historical data, budgeting, and financial projections.
  • Act as the conscience of the division, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead senior management in financial matters, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Coordinate with the corporate/region office on accounting and finance issues.
  • Oversee the preparation and reliability of all financial projections required by corporate management.
  • Responsible for the month-end close process and coordinate with Corporate Accounting.
  • Implement pricing strategy agreed upon by management.
  • Fully understand the computerized accounting system and utilize it to its full capabilities.
  • Perform in both financial and operational segments of the business, devoting time to field visits.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly manage two or more employees in the Accounting Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Six to eight years of related experience and/or training.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently to balance competing deadlines.
  • Ability to accurately process and record a large volume of data.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral form, or via DRH applications.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in JD Edwards is a plus.
