Job Title: Jr. Security Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Jr. Security Administrator to join our team at First Community Credit Union in Chesterfield, MO.

Job Summary:

The Jr. Security Administrator will provide tier 3 security services to our first community infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime, access to software applications, and secure end-user data. This role will be responsible for providing technical and support services for all security hardware and software applications, monitoring firewall and IDS/IPS logs, and documenting infrastructure hardware and software changes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintains appropriate access and security levels throughout active directory, servers, LAN/WAN, and other security-related equipment.
  • Monitors system and security logs, activity, and network traffic for suspicious behavior; performs remediation tasks as necessary.
  • Scanning and assessing network for vulnerabilities.
  • Performs risk assessments, such as vulnerability and penetration tests, to ensure security measures identify and defend against threats.
  • Develops and implements disaster recovery plans to safeguard data from accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure.
  • Maintains current knowledge of emerging security and technology trends, vulnerabilities, and breaches; makes recommendations for system protection upgrades and security standards as needed.
  • Configures and provides technical support for security tools, such as firewalls, filtering, and anti-virus/EDR software.
  • Installs and supports Windows servers, VMWare, MS365, MS SQL Server, SANS, Active Directory, and network security solutions.
  • Plans and conducts training for users to understand and adhere to security protocols.
  • Collaborates and networks with other IT support personnel and professionals.
  • Interacts with users in a professional, courteous, and responsive manner.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in cyber security and system administration.
  • Knowledge of maintaining Windows servers, networks, and security applications.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting or Python.
  • Knowledge of Windows Group policy and Active Directory.
  • Ability to troubleshoot application, performance, and security issues.
  • Network + and Security + certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of vulnerability management.
  • Knowledge of application and Windows patches.
  • Strong knowledge of virus, spyware protection tools, and security devices.
  • Preferred experience with Rapid 7, Crowdstrike, and Cisco Umbrella.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
