Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Employee Benefits Coordinator to manage our employee benefits, payroll, and retirement programs. In this role, you will also oversee administrative personnel, organize company events, and engage in various special initiatives. Your contributions will be essential in fostering a positive work atmosphere and ensuring efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Benefits Management: Administer health, dental, life, and disability insurance plans. Oversee COBRA/HIPAA notifications, assist with claims issues, and keep employees updated on benefit changes.
Payroll Oversight: Review employee timesheets, process payroll accurately, ensure adherence to labor regulations, and manage final payments for departing staff.
Retirement Program Administration: Oversee changes to retirement plans, manage payroll deductions, and conduct annual testing and profit-sharing activities.
Personnel Administration: Facilitate new employee orientations, manage FMLA/CFRA leaves, and maintain human resources databases.
Team Leadership: Supervise and evaluate administrative staff, ensuring excellent front desk and office service delivery.
Compliance and Record Keeping: Maintain personnel files and insurance documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
Recruitment Support: Assist in the hiring process for new attorneys, from job postings to background checks.
Worker's Compensation and Ergonomics: Manage claims, ensure compliance with legal standards, and implement ergonomic practices.
Special Initiatives: Participate in various projects, including event organization, maintaining professional licenses, and serving on committees.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience in benefits administration
Prior experience in a law firm is highly desirable
Experience processing payroll for approximately 60 employees
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
A proactive and positive mindset with the ability to inspire others
Must reside in proximity to the designated area
