Key Responsibilities- Develops, monitors, and manages a portfolio of projects, including budgets, schedules, work plans, resources requirements, and work estimates and projections to ensure project completion within budget, scope, and time.
- Coordinates, develops, and evaluates a portfolio of projects using accepted portfolio management methodologies, establishing criteria for project prioritization and selection.
- Plans, assigns, monitors, and manages the work of the Project Management Office (PMO) department, establishing goals and objectives for the team, training, guiding, and mentoring team members to achieve goals, solve problems, and gain necessary skills.
- Ensures the quality and compliance of work conducted by the PMO, establishing methods to monitor and evaluate work quality and quantity, creating and maintaining policies, processes, and procedures.
- Compiles and distributes portfolio information, status reports, and portfolio budget expenditures, providing stakeholders with timely assessments of portfolio and component performance.
- Analyzes and monitors portfolio components to identify issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement, designing strategies to mitigate or avoid future risks within the portfolio.
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Eight (8) years experience as a Project Manager in an Information Technology setting.
- Experience managing a diverse IT project portfolio.
- Three (3) years experience supervising Project Managers in an IT setting.
- Equivalent education and experience may substitute for one another.
- Experience developing and presenting complex information across all levels of stakeholders, including executive-level staff.
- Ten (10) years experience as a Project Manager in an Information Technology setting.
- Ten (10) years experience supervising others.
- Higher education such as Master's degree.
- Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma, Agile/Scrum, etc.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving process improvements.
- Strong background in project management, program development, and operations.
- Advanced understanding of portfolio and project management activities, practices, and toolkits.
- Advanced knowledge of and experience implementing project management principles and Agile delivery practices and methodologies.
