Job Summary

Graham & Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Civil Site Design Engineer to lead the design efforts for projects at the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the design process, from conceptual planning to final construction documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive civil site design plans for airport projects, including roadways, parking areas, utility systems, and other infrastructure elements.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the design aligns with overall project goals and meets all relevant codes and standards.
  • Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and calculations for civil site components.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather data for design purposes.
  • Prepare and review construction documents, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with permitting agencies to obtain necessary approvals for design plans.
  • Oversee the construction phase of projects, providing technical support and ensuring compliance with design specifications.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and design staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil site design, preferably with airport projects
  • Strong understanding of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other relevant design software
  • Knowledge of airport design standards and regulations (e.g., FAA, ICAO)
  • Experience in the use of 3D software to model civil engineering design, including but not limited to Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in essential computer programs including Microsoft Office suite, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Work Environment

This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
