AMF Bakery is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for our products, working closely with our Controls Specialists to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Design and develop mechanical systems for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with AMF standards and customer specifications.
- Bill of Materials (BOM) Management: Assemble accurate and complete BOMs for machine/system designs.
- Installation Support: Provide remote support to field service technicians during system service calls, installation, and commissioning.
- R&D and Value Engineering: Support R&D activities, conduct Value Add/Value Engineer (VAVE) initiatives, and engage in strategic activities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: A combination of an Associate's Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, 3D modeling experience (SolidWorks or SolidEdge) a plus, moderate project management skills, excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills, and competency with Allen Bradley PLC hardware and software.
Working Relationships:
This position reports directly to the Senior Engineer and works with minimal to moderate supervision. The Mechanical Engineer will provide guidance and engineering direction to Engineers, Controls Specialists, Assembly, Field Service, and Sales teams.
