Job Overview

The Field Operations Support Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of field operations, logistics coordination, and technical support. This position is essential for maintaining effective communication between the field team and management, guaranteeing high-quality service, and optimizing field operations for efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Support:
    • Provide on-the-ground and remote assistance to field teams in setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment and technology.
    • Coordinate with the Field Operations Manager to schedule and deploy resources effectively, ensuring timely completion of projects.
    • Monitor and report daily operational activities, addressing any issues as they arise to prevent delays.
    • Maintain accurate records of field activities, including team assignments, equipment use, and project statuses.
  • Logistics and Inventory Management:
    • Coordinate transportation, tools, and equipment needed for field projects, ensuring timely delivery and availability.
    • Track and manage inventory of equipment and supplies, ensuring field teams have the necessary resources.
    • Assist with logistics planning to support field projects, including scheduling, procurement, and vendor relations.
  • Communication and Coordination:
    • Serve as a liaison between field teams and the home office, relaying information, updates, and operational challenges.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with field team members to foster open communication and a positive working environment.
    • Provide real-time updates to management on field progress, escalating issues when necessary to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure field operations are conducted according to safety and regulatory standards, preventing accidents and injuries.
    • Conduct regular safety checks, providing feedback to improve protocols and prevent incidents.
    • Assist in training field staff on safety and operational procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Document field activities, job status, and other relevant data in company databases, facilitating informed decision-making.
    • Prepare and submit routine and ad-hoc reports to the Field Operations Manager, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
    • Assist in analyzing field data to identify trends and suggest process improvements, enhancing overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education and Experience:
    • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
    • At least 2 years of experience in a field support, logistics, or operational support role is necessary to excel in this position.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and concise communication across different teams and levels of management.
    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with database systems.
    • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and learn new software or equipment as needed.
  • Salary and Benefits:
    • An estimated salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
