Job Overview:

Advantage SCI is in search of a highly skilled Senior Records Manager to oversee criminal history record information and law enforcement support initiatives. This role is pivotal in facilitating the government's processes for collecting, maintaining, researching, and disposing of official records as per established procedures and relevant government systems. Occasional travel may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing FOIA requests efficiently.
  • Receiving, tracking, digitizing, and converting various law enforcement documents, including reports, narratives, biometric data, interviews, and citations.
  • Overseeing retention schedules and guidelines, ensuring compliance with both short-term and long-term storage policies.
  • Transforming physical records into digital formats and vice versa.
  • Administering the archival storage, retrieval, and destruction processes for digital criminal case files.
  • Preparing and monitoring records for extended storage in government-owned archives, whether physical or digital.
  • Sorting, inventorying, scanning, and preparing various law enforcement media for long-term preservation.
  • Minimum Qualifications: At least 6 years of relevant experience along with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven expertise in managing, retaining, and disposing of official records.
  • Experience in formulating agency policies regarding the retention and storage of official documents.
  • Familiarity with AFRIMS and proficiency in tracking and retrieving records from NARA.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately process Freedom of Information Act requests.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Capability to stoop, kneel, bend, and reach as necessary.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds.
  • Noise level is generally low to moderate.
