We are seeking a Senior Landscape Architect with over 5 years of industry experience who has begun to cultivate their unique design perspective.
Attention to detail is crucial; the successful candidate will appreciate the significance of precise measurements, recognizing that errors can impact the entire team and overall profitability.
This individual must also excel in managing timelines and delivering outstanding results to enhance the client experience.Success Metrics:
Achievement of project timelines.
Productivity aligned with the sales objectives of the Design Studio.
Consistent demonstration of meticulous attention to detail and effective graphic communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Design
Prepare CAD design drawings and site analyses based on initial concept sketches, style inspiration, and refine them into polished presentation materials.
Engage with clients to schedule site assessments and gather necessary design documentation.Create 3D rendered visuals of designs using SketchUp and Podium (a photorealistic rendering software).
Research and adhere to permit regulations for specific design features.
Generate comprehensive design and construction drawings utilizing AutoCAD software.
Collaborate with sales personnel to review conceptual project ideas. After contract approval, conduct site visits to assist project managers with details and clarifications.
Compile project drawing sets for each contract, including field verifications, construction drawings, material lists, and cut lists.
Utilize CRM software (HubSpot) to manage client accounts and communications effectively.Stay informed about client challenges, document them appropriately, and provide timely solutions.
Estimating
Prepare work orders and estimates for enhancements or small projects, and participate in contract renewals to assess costs related to materials, labor, and equipment.
Team CollaborationWork closely with colleagues throughout the design process to develop innovative problem-solving strategies.
Confidently recommend resources and subcontractors based on project needs and product availability.
Contribute to the generation of creative ideas that can be implemented.
Foster cooperative relationships with all staff to ensure seamless client service.
Participate in regular team meetings and project launch discussions as required.

5+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture.
Experience in construction and project estimation.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, estimating software, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
Relevant higher education degree or equivalent experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of residential design and construction practices.
Exceptional judgment, decision-making, and prioritization abilities.
Experience in generating, interpreting, and implementing architectural drawings and design/build construction documents.
Possession of a personal vehicle with insurance or willingness to use public transportation for client visits.
Able to thrive in an open office environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Aspire software.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly sit at a desk and work on a computer.
May lift, carry, or move objects weighing up to fifty pounds using appropriate tools.
Occasionally bend, stoop, or crouch.
Intermittently move around the workspace.
Occasionally work at heights (e.g., roof decks, balconies).
Regularly drive a personal vehicle (or use public transport) throughout the service area.
Compensation and Benefits:
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5 PM. Minimum of 40 hours per week with flexibility for site visits.
Salary range: $65,000 - $75,000.
Benefits Package:
Paid holidays and time off (up to 10 days in the first year) along with paid sick leave (up to 40 hours annually). Medical and dental insurance options (PPO/HSA and HMO). Retirement plan available after one year of employment with a minimum of 1000 hours worked. Complimentary life insurance and long-term disability coverage. Relocation assistance is not provided.
Additional Information:
TOPIARIUS is a non-union workplace. Final candidates may be required to undergo a background check.
