Key Responsibilities

The Oncology Nurse Team Leader is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused care and overseeing all operations within the unit during their designated shift. Collaborating with management, the Team Leader will:

  • Facilitate admission and discharge processes to ensure smooth patient flow and exceptional care.
  • Engage in ongoing assessments of care quality in partnership with management.
  • Work with experts and fellow managers to foster a collaborative environment that enhances outcomes and service delivery.
  • Embrace a patient-first philosophy and participate in service recovery as needed.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving staff engagement and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the recruitment, selection, and training of new staff, and provide recommendations for staff development and performance evaluations.
  • Assist in staff scheduling and manage labor resources according to patient care needs.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Nurse with an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree.
