Clinical Nurse Coordinator Emergency Room Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team in the Emergency Room at Medical City Arlington. As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.
Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling. Manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Current Texas State RN license or multi-state compact license.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course, or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- TNCC must be obtained within 18 months of hire.
- Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- BSN required within 1 year. Magnet/Pathways Accredited hospitals require BSN at time of hire.
- Certification in specialty required within 1 year.
- Completion of charge nurse course required within one year.
- Other leadership training and activity in professional organizations highly preferred.
