About the Role

As a key member of our maintenance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our production equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on production equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Problem-Solving: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with production equipment, including bearings, belts, pulleys, and gears.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to engineering and production teams on equipment maintenance, process improvement, and manufacturing excellence.
  • Electrical and Mechanical Skills: Perform basic electrical duties, including lighting, switches, and conduit installation, as well as mechanical tasks such as machining and fabrication.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in the storage and management of replacement parts and components.
  • System Maintenance: Analyze, install, and maintain water, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including repairs and replacements of worn or defective parts.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest and implement improved designs to existing equipment components and systems.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety policies and procedures, and offer suggestions to improve workplace safety.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience in an industrial setting.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical aptitude, including the use of common hand tools.
  • Electrical Skills: Knowledge of basic electrical skills, with a willingness to learn more.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to walk, push, pull, lift, reach overhead, bend, kneel, climb, squat, and stand for prolonged periods.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Hazards: Exposure to high noise levels, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, breathing fumes, dust, and mist, skin exposure to oils and cutting fluid.
  • Confined Quarters: Ability to work in confined quarters if needed.
