Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Floor Technician to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for maintaining and restoring hard-surface floors, operating industrial floor care equipment, and utilizing automated equipment for cleaning large areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care, including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
  • Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment, including automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surface.
  • Utilize proper procedures on carpet and upholstering, including shampooing, damp surface extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
  • Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role is preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques is required.
  • Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures are essential.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 lbs. is required.
