Job Summary:

Wieland is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for independently and collaboratively troubleshooting industrial electromechanical systems and machinery, operating within the maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities:

Interface with machine operators to understand and determine the cause of machine issues.
Ensure operation of machinery and other production equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
Able to diagnose defective mechanical parts, and disassemble the components for repair using hoists, fork lifts, and other equipment.
Fabricate and/or repair machine parts using measuring devices, mills, lathes, and welders.
Observe all OSHA and NFPA regulations at all times, and wear proper PPE at all times.
Coordinate with all departments, supervisor, and department manager.

Requirements:

Experience maintaining or repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
Good problem solving and technical skills.
Fabrication and welding experience.
Able to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams.
Functional knowledge of and experience troubleshooting electromechanical systems.
Good computer and data entry skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
Own a stocked toolbox that can be stored onsite.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma required.
Post high school education is a plus.
Three years of experience working in industrial facilities.

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Periods of standing, walking, negotiating stairs, ladders, elevated catwalks and platforms.
