Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist II to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing general radiology procedures and producing high-quality diagnostic radiographs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general radiology procedures, including trauma radiography, routine fluoroscopy, pediatric radiography, and surgical radiography.
  • Process films and prepare records of service performed.
  • Make adjustments to equipment and report any malfunctioning equipment to supervisors.
  • Transport patients to and from the department.
  • Maintain scheduled patient appointments and unscheduled patient exams.
  • Ensure effective communications and documentation.
  • Work with high-risk and critically ill patients.
  • Instruct and direct students from the Radiologic Technology Program at SRJC during their clinical rotation at Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • Associate's degree in Health Science or equivalent education/experience.
  • CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist.
  • ARRT-Radiography certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy certification.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Experience
  • Two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care hospital.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of technical principles, policies, and procedures in general diagnostic radiography.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and protection.
  • Current hospital policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic imaging examinations with a high level of skill, accuracy, compassion, and tact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and successfully complete assigned workload in a stressful environment.
Work Environment

This is a per diem/casual position with varied shifts, including rotating weekends.

The salary range for this role is $50.03 to $62.19 per hour.
