About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Infection Control team at Lowell General Hospital. As an Infection Control Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct rounds and chart reviews to identify potential infection control issues
  • Provide consultation and guidance to staff on infection control practices and policies
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to prevent and control infections
  • Collaborate with Occupational Health Nurses to ensure compliance with infection control policies for employees
  • Participate in Emergency Management Planning, particularly for pandemic planning
  • Act as a resource to all staff on infection control practices and policies

Requirements:

  • Valid MA RN license
  • BSN strongly preferred
  • CIC required within one year (Certification in Infection Control)
  • Must have a strong interest in Infection Control
  • Public Health background a plus
