Anesthesia Technician Specialist

The Anesthesia Technician plays a vital role in supporting the operating rooms with anesthesia and physiological monitoring equipment. This includes preparing equipment for anesthesia in surgical, obstetric, and diagnostic anesthesia suites.
Key Responsibilities- Assist anesthesiologists and nursing staff with direct patient care duties, including patient transfers, preparation of patient equipment, intubations, and regional anesthesia.
- Set up I.V. solutions, arterial lines, and equipment for anesthesiologists use.
- Order daily anesthesia supplies from the storeroom and pharmacy, and replace special equipment as needed.
- Conduct routine checks of emergency carts and anesthesia carts, and maintain inventory levels.
- Participate in infection control through regular cleaning of anesthesia equipment and perform housekeeping duties to keep the anesthesia workroom neat and orderly.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- One (1) year of related experience in Surgical Services, Operating Room, or PACU.
- Associate's degree.
- Emergency Medical Technician Certification.
