Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Program Manager to join our team at Columbia Helicopters. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of aircraft programs, ensuring timely delivery and exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning: Define program scope, statement of work, activities, risks, and cost to develop program schedules and plans of action.
  • Coordination: Provide ongoing coordination of program progress to ensure the plan is working to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Execution: Ensure programs meet or exceed plan deliverables and objectives, keeping stakeholders informed of execution progress.
  • Financial Control: Oversee administration of program budgets, including control and monitoring of related expenditures.
  • Services Coordination: Coordinate with Engineering on size and scope of Engineering Services or required activities.
  • Support: Assist Marketing and other Program Managers in developing new business or enhancing internal programs.
Requirements
  • 10 years' experience in an aircraft maintenance or manufacturing environment in a decision-making role.
  • Rotorcraft experience on a 107, 234, or 47D is strongly preferred.
  • BS Degree in the field of aviation/aerospace or a related discipline, or extensive experience, education, and training in aviation/aerospace field to include program management experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5 years' demonstrated experience on a 107, 234, or 47D.
  • Documented training applicable to the role.
  • Knowledge and experience working within quality management systems.
  • Airframe and Powerplant license strongly preferred.
  • Training and experience utilizing Lean methods in a production environment preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to lead project/program development, including needs assessments.
  • Ability to lead day-to-day program oversight and management, developing schedule and resource requirements.
  • Ability to assure compliance with program goals, policies, and procedures, developing contingency plans to address needs and risks.
  • Ability to prepare budgets and control costs of projects.
  • Ability to prepare weekly, monthly, annual, and end-of-project/program reports as required.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects/programs simultaneously within stringent time constraints.
  • Ability to interface with functional departments at various levels.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Discretion, independent judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain a good working relationship with all team members, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Ability to travel to meet program needs as required.
