Role Overview

The Fitness Leadership and Business Development Manager is a vital position within the Equinox team, responsible for driving financial performance, sales, and operational excellence in our Personal Training department. This leadership role demands exceptional business acumen, strong communication skills, and the ability to foster a positive team culture that aligns with our brand standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Management: Oversee trainers' monthly Performance Data Meetings (PDMs), create and manage PT calendars, lead client communication, and ensure trainers deliver excellent service while meeting company expectations.
  • Operational Management: Lead New Hire Onboarding, provide PT business and sales coaching, utilize scheduling tools to create floor schedules, generate PT sales leads, and support trainer development.
  • Performance Management: Proactively address business trends, achieve monthly and annual department financial goals, and manage all trainers and coaches.
  • Client Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with potential leads and clients through effective communication, pipeline management, and clear outlining of responsibilities.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Certification: Exercise Science or Sports Management degree preferred; current national certification, CPR/AED, First Aid required.
  • Leadership and Skills: Demonstrated ability to drive financial performance, exhibits sales skills, possesses collaborative social skills, and has experience managing high-volume inbound communication.
  • Work Experience: Minimum [3-5] years of relevant work experience in a fitness leadership or business development role.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $58,500, plus the opportunity to conduct sessions and earn bonus and commissions. Additional benefits include complimentary club membership, perks, and incentives with our products and services.
