Key Responsibilities
  1. Member Service and Support
  • Assist members with a wide range of financial services, including account opening, loan applications, and transaction processing.
  • Provide personalized service and support to members, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
Branch Operations
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the branch, including opening and closing procedures, member service, and transaction processing.
  • Assist with balancing cash drawers, maintaining the branch vault, and monitoring essential administrative functions.
Relationship Building
  • Build and foster relationships with current and potential members to increase their financial well-being.
  • Provide lobby support and accurately process member transaction requests.
Product Knowledge
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of Credit Union offerings, including loan programs and financial products.
  • Inform members about products and services, including current promotions.
Communication and Problem-Solving
  • Communicate effectively with members, colleagues, and management to resolve issues and concerns.
  • Adapt to member needs and employ active listening techniques to effectively de-escalate member concerns.
Continuous Learning
  • Participate in required meetings and training to stay up-to-date on Credit Union policies, procedures, and products.
  • Share knowledge of member feedback and effective practices with the team.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience
  • Minimum 4-6 years of customer service experience, including 1-3 years in banking/member service experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal, written, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
  • Notary Public in North Carolina, or the ability to achieve in the first 6 months of employment.
  • PC proficient, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and the Internet.
Work Environment
  • Ability to function in a Consumer business office environment and utilize standard office equipment.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
