Retirement Income Specialist

The Opportunity
As a Mid-Level Retirement Income Specialist at USAA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial security of our membership. Your primary responsibility will be to assess members' current retirement income needs, provide expert advice, and make tailored recommendations based on their individual circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and respond to requests for advice from current and prospective members through various channels, including inbound and outbound phone calls.
- Conduct thorough assessments of members' retirement income needs, taking into account their financial situation, goals, and risk tolerance.
- Develop and communicate personalized retirement income strategies, incorporating a range of financial products and services.
- Provide advanced retirement planning advice, including tax-efficient distribution options, health expense budgets, insurance solutions, and estate planning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services and support to members.
- Foster strong relationships with members, understanding their unique needs and concerns, and providing tailored solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest retirement strategy research, legislative initiatives, and industry trends, applying this knowledge to inform your advice and recommendations.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.
- Required maintenance of Life/Health license.
- Required maintenance of FINRA Series 7 license.
- Required maintenance of FINRA Series 66 (or 63 and 65) license.
- Must be able to successfully pass background check and meet all USAA and regulatory requirements.
- 4 years of financial industry and/or sales experience.
- Experience delivering frequent written and oral communication.
- Experience processing and analyzing information.
- Experience fulfilling requests and meeting deadlines.
- Experience resolving conflict and negotiating.
- Experience multi-tasking in an operating systems environment.
- Experience participating in or leading teams.
What We Offer:
Compensation: USAA offers a competitive salary range of $65,090.00 - $124,330.00, based on experience and market data. Employees may also be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance.
