Job Title: Staff RN

Marshall Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Staff RN to join our Emergency Department team.

Job Summary

The Staff RN will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, in accordance with MMC's standard of practice.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and cultural background.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current California Registered Nursing (RN) license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification strongly preferred within 6 months of hire.
  • Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) certification strongly preferred within 2 years of hire.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Courses (TNCC) certification required within 1 year of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ER experience preferred.
  • Per Diem status positions, 2+ years Emergency department experience is strongly preferred.
Working Conditions

The Staff RN will work in a fast-paced emergency department environment, with frequent exposure to high-stress situations. The ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations is essential.

This role requires strong physical and mental stamina, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The Staff RN will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow infection control protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.
