Job Description

Gold Country Health Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our nursing team in a long-term care and acute care setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Lead and manage a team of nursing staff, including certified nursing assistants and nurse aides, to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and services, including medical, social, and recreational activities.
  • Conduct regular rounds to assess patient needs and ensure that care plans are being implemented effectively.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facility standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new programs and services.
  • Provide education and training to nursing staff on new procedures, policies, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports, including progress notes, medication lists, and treatment plans.
  • Ensure that all nursing staff are properly trained and equipped to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide emergency care as needed.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of California.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a long-term care or acute care setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
