Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Inclusion Program Coordinator at the Oak Park Park District. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and supervision to participants in our inclusion programs, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the supervision and safety of participants in our inclusion programs, including Clubhouse, Schools Out Days, and Holiday Break Camp.
  • Work closely with on-site supervisors to develop and implement a safe and fun environment for participants.
  • Provide support and assistance to individual participants as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and paperwork, including attendance records and safety checks.
  • Participate in regular meetings and trainings to stay up-to-date on program developments and best practices.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of program activities, including setup and cleanup.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, school administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure a positive experience for all.
  • Assist with emergency procedures and building evacuation as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with children and youth in a program setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED required within 1 month of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and practices.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages.
