Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services in a school environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of experience in speech therapy, focusing on the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders among students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaboration: Work closely with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
  • Therapeutic Services: Deliver direct therapy to students in both individual and group formats, addressing areas such as receptive and expressive language, articulation, and social communication.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and document student progress, modifying therapy strategies as necessary, and providing updates to stakeholders.
  • Team Participation: Engage in IEP meetings and collaborative discussions to support comprehensive educational planning.
  • Consultation: Offer guidance to teachers and staff on effective strategies for promoting speech and language development within the classroom.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Preferred: Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC/CFY-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of assessment tools and intervention methods for childhood speech and language disorders.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and educational professionals.
  • Ability to design and execute individualized education plans based on student assessments.
  • Proficient in conducting evaluations, analyzing results, and tracking student progress.
