Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services in a school environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in evaluating and treating students with speech, language, and communication challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
  • Deliver direct therapeutic interventions to students in both one-on-one and group settings, focusing on enhancing skills in areas such as language comprehension, speech articulation, social communication, and phonological processing.
  • Track and assess student progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy strategies and providing updates to stakeholders involved in the IEP process.
  • Engage in IEP meetings and collaborative discussions to support comprehensive educational planning for students.
  • Offer guidance and strategies to teachers and staff to promote speech and language development within the classroom environment.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Preferred: Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC/CFY-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience working in educational settings or with pediatric populations is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of assessment methodologies and intervention strategies for childhood speech and language disorders.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, educators, and other professionals.
  • Capability to develop and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) based on the distinct needs and objectives of students.
  • Skilled in conducting assessments, interpreting data, and documenting student outcomes.
