Key Responsibilities- Examine and Diagnose Vehicles: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any issues or defects.
- Discuss Repairs with Shop Foreman or Service Advisor: Collaborate with shop foreman or service advisor to discuss repair options and provide recommendations.
- Communicate Additional Service Requests to Service Advisor: Inform service advisor of any additional services required to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Plan Work Procedures in Cooperation with Shop Foreman: Work with shop foreman to plan and coordinate work procedures to ensure efficient and effective repairs.
- Provide Labor Time Estimates to Service Advisor: Provide accurate labor time estimates to service advisor to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Monitor Repair Time and Update Service Advisor Regularly: Keep service advisor informed of repair progress and provide updates as needed.
- Maintain Strict Adherence to Dealership Policies on Vehicle Care and Operation: Ensure all repairs are performed in accordance with dealership policies and procedures.
- Complete Story and/or Documentation for Client Repairs: Accurately document all repairs and provide clear explanations to clients.
- Assist in Mentoring Technician Trainees: Provide guidance and support to technician trainees to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Attend Company and Factory Training: Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.
- Keep Current with Factory Technical Bulletins: Stay informed of any updates or changes to factory technical bulletins to ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements.
- Understand and Follow Federal, State and Local Regulations: Ensure all repairs are performed in accordance with federal, state and local regulations, including disposal of hazardous waste.
- Virginia State Inspection License Required: Possess a valid Virginia State Inspection license.
- High School Diploma or GED: Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
- One-Three Months of Related Experience and/or Training: Have one to three months of experience and/or training in a related field.
- Authorized to Work in the USA: Be authorized to work in the United States.
- Able to Pass Pre-Employment Background Checks, MVR, and Drug Screen: Pass pre-employment background checks, MVR, and drug screen.
- Valid Driver's License with Clean Driving Record: Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
