Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients, conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain, review, and update individual medical information, including medical histories, test results, diagnoses, and prescribed treatments.
  • Conduct physical examinations, order and perform diagnostic tests, and determine and confirm diagnoses.
  • Prescribe and administer treatments, medications, therapies, vaccinations, and other specialized medical care to prevent or treat illness, disease, or injury.
  • Conduct follow-up examinations and monitor individual conditions, modifying treatment as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and disciplines to achieve treatment goals and ensure continuity of care.
  • Communicate with patients, families, and caregivers to explain procedures, test results, diagnoses, and prescribed treatments.
  • Refer individuals to other healthcare providers based on diagnostic and treatment needs.
  • Participate in discharge planning and work collaboratively with other providers and disciplines to facilitate medical follow-up after discharge.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation consistent with agency, state, and federal requirements.
Requirements
  • Must possess a license to practice medicine in New York State.
  • Must have completed a residency training program in a specialty approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
  • Must not be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any Federal and/or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists.
  • Must be eligible for and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs.

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
