Key Responsibilities

Peraton is in search of a Solutions Architect with a focus on Splunk to conceptualize and implement software solutions by evaluating stakeholder needs and collaborating with users and fellow system engineers.

Program Overview: Our mission supports the Intelligence Community by enhancing front-end collection sites across various types of midpoint accesses, including cloud and containerized environments, while also providing cyber defense through automated behavior for unique boundary protection. We offer comprehensive life cycle services such as development, system security, testing and integration, deployment, design, and analysis. Further details will be discussed during the interview process.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Craft and execute software solutions to address intricate challenges.
  • Formulate software system installation or build protocols or scripts.
  • Investigate and resolve system performance challenges (e.g., response time issues, integration challenges, system bottlenecks, data flow complications).
  • Establish a new Splunk instance to supersede existing system functionalities and enhance it through:
    • Requirement analysis
    • Designing and sizing Splunk architectures
    • Creating ingest capabilities
    • Data modeling
    • Solutions development
    • Dashboard design
  • Administer Splunk Enterprise Security.

**This position allows for up to 16 hours of telework weekly, subject to customer approval.**

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited institution, along with six (6) years of systems engineering experience. Alternatively, four (4) years of additional systems engineering experience may replace a Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in systems engineering activities and contributing to the development of work products in Technical Process Areas.
  • Capability to develop analytics.
  • Experience in establishing a new Splunk instance to replace existing system functionalities and modernize/improve; this includes: requirement analysis, designing and sizing Splunk architectures, creating ingest capabilities, data modeling, solutions development, dashboard design, and administering Splunk Enterprise Security.
  • Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
  • An active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is mandatory.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Splunk Certified Architect.
  • Splunk Accredited Consultant.
  • Familiarity with Networking Protocols and Standards.

Target Salary Range$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
