Department: Community Health & Research Center
Job Status: Full-time
Overview: The Client Engagement and Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that community services are accessible and effective, empowering individuals and families to improve their quality of life. This position involves interacting with clients to address inquiries and resolve issues, while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome clients to the department and provide information about available services.
- Handle incoming calls and respond to service inquiries with professionalism.
- Guide individuals through service benefits and available resources.
- Facilitate warm transfers to ensure clients connect with relevant service providers.
- Assist in resolving local complaints and grievances.
- Conduct surveys and report on client experiences to enhance service delivery.
- Provide support in behavioral health, outreach, and education initiatives.
- Maintain updated records of service providers and their specialties.
- Document client interactions and follow up as necessary.
- Schedule appointments and explain program requirements to clients.
- Stay informed about ACCESS programs and community resources.
- Track client referrals and enrollment statuses, documenting outcomes.
- Deliver exceptional customer service through various communication channels.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to organizational activities.
- Perform administrative tasks, including registration and eligibility verification.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Experience in health administration or a related field is advantageous.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Working Conditions:
This position operates in a climate-controlled office environment during normal business hours, with some local travel required.
