We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Systems Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, operating, and maintaining mission-critical systems in support of software delivery and automation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain complex automation systems using PowerShell and other Windows programming languages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement system solutions.
  • Lead design and code reviews, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to design specifications.
  • Develop and test interfaces between software products and products of other vendors.
  • Manage group policies, Windows Registry, and network settings, activating Windows licenses, and automating these processes using PowerShell.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience maintaining and making minor changes to existing applications or keeping those systems working in a sustainment mode within an Agile environment.
  • 1+ years of experience with legacy Windows-based enterprise IT systems.
  • 1+ years of experience developing PowerShell Scripts.
  • Experience with fundamental programming concepts, including functions, loops, classes, modules, or recursion.
  • Experience creating and testing modules and components for compliance to design specifications.
  • Experience managing group policies, Windows Registry, and network settings, activating Windows licenses, and automating these processes using PowerShell.
  • Experience developing and testing interfaces between software products and products of other vendors.
  • Ability to lead design and code reviews and address findings within a collaborative, cross-functional team.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or CS.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Java, Python, C#, C/C++,.NET, JavaScript, React, Angular, NodeJS, or PHP.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with Microsoft products such as Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Windows Server, or Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
  • Knowledge of shell scripting and automation.
  • Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDMSs), NoSQL, columnar, and graph data stores, and structured and unstructured data formats.
  • Ability to develop detailed program specifications and programs for software components.
  • Ability to debug, troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain the operation of application code.

Salary at Booz Allen Hamilton is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD).
