Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Parts Administrator to join our team at Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental. As a key member of our Parts & Service Department, you will be responsible for maintaining the organization and neatness of our parts area, preparing and maintaining records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued. You will also be responsible for issuing or distributing materials, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from work orders, purchase orders or requisitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the organization and neatness of the parts area
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued
  • Issue or distribute materials, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from work orders, purchase orders or requisitions
  • Place orders with vendors via phone, email, or web portals
  • Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using a computer
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, or storage yards
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in stockrooms, or other areas
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as processing work orders and other documents
  • Provide positive interface with fellow employees, supervisors, and customers
  • Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations

Requirements
  • Experience with heavy construction equipment is a plus
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week and overtime as needed
  • Able to use a phone, computer, and other office equipment
  • Able to lift up to 40lbs
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with NexGen maintenance software is a plus
