Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at PAM Health. As a Clinical Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and prepare human samples for analysis in a timely and efficient manner.
- Stock laboratory supplies and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Transport specimens to the laboratory testing facility.
- Use computer systems to log in patient samples, perform inquiries, and print summaries.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance, such as temperature checks.
- Exhibit knowledge of basic patient development and provide age-specific data as needed.
- Communicate with patients and their families as necessary.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a phlebotomy or clinical laboratory assistant training program or comparable on-the-job training.
- A valid state driver's license.
- A current BLS certificate.
- Minimum of two years' experience as a phlebotomist (preferred).
