Position Summary:
The Patient Services Coordinator is responsible for delivering outstanding service to patients, both in person and via telephone. This role involves interviewing patients and their representatives to gather comprehensive demographic, financial, and insurance details necessary for billing and account management. The Coordinator performs essential clerical and patient service tasks to ensure smooth operations within the medical office.

Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit a high standard of professionalism while providing exceptional customer service.
- Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information for accuracy.
- Confirm insurance coverage and process copays, co-insurance, and outstanding balances.
- Ensure all patient intake forms are duly signed and completed.
- Manage patient communication channels, including multiple phone lines and messaging platforms.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently.
- Handle medical record requests in accordance with established policies.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to enhance the patient experience.

Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate.

Required Skills:
- At least 2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with healthcare insurance processes.
- Proficient computer skills with a typing speed of at least 30 WPM.
- Strong commitment to assisting others and delivering excellent customer service.
- Highly dependable and organized with outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to learn quickly, retain information, and solve problems independently.

Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
