Piedmont Macon Medical Center Job Description

The Emergency Department (ED) Patient Flow Coordinator position is a critical role that requires a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee the efficient movement of patients through the ED. This position involves coordinating patient care activities, collaborating with the ED medical staff, and ensuring that care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate patient flow and movement through the ED
  • Collaborate with ED medical staff to ensure efficient care delivery
  • Delegate workload and promote teamwork, leadership, and professionalism
  • Participate in quality and process improvement projects
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a nursing program
  • One (1) year of Emergency Department experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
  • BLS/ACLS/PALS certification required
  • BSN preferred
  • Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) preferred
