We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers.
- Replace defective components as instructed.
- Perform facility maintenance duties and interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred.
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
- Hourly pay: $26.00 per hour.
- Certification bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained up to $700.
- Quarterly bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter - four times per year.
- Annual merit pay increases every year.
- On-the-job paid training.
- Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and other benefits start at 30 days.
- 12 weeks of paid maternity leave.
- Paid time off starts accruing at day one with 80 hours per year.
- Additional day off for U.S. military veterans.
