Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electronic problems, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems
  • Perform standard component inspections and repairs
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Interact with customers/drivers to properly determine the nature of the complaint
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
