Position Overview: The Member Service Representative plays a crucial role in the Credit Union, acting as the primary point of contact for our valued members. This position is essential in fostering a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an outstanding experience for all members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with members to create a positive first impression, whether in person or over the phone.
  • Utilize effective probing and interviewing techniques to identify and meet the needs of both new and existing members.
  • Drive the growth of the Credit Union by expanding member relationships and achieving sales targets.
  • Provide professional responses to member inquiries and assist with various transactions and operational tasks.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Credit Union policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

We prefer candidates with experience in the financial sector, particularly in credit unions or banks. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An Associate's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a financial environment.
  • Sales experience with a track record of meeting individual sales goals.
  • Experience in consumer lending.
  • Eligibility for registration in the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry (NMLS).

Desirable Attributes:

It would be advantageous if you also have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Google applications such as Docs, Sheets, and Gmail.
  • A background in the credit union or banking industry.

  • Monitor accounts for potential risks and ensure compliance with all relevant policies.
