Project Engineer Job Description

Hoyle Tanner and Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Northeast Municipal Engineering Services Group (NEME). This is a full-time position that can be based out of any of our offices in NH or VT.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Project Engineer to contribute to the delivery of infrastructure and civil engineering projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing calculations, layouts, modeling, estimates, drawings, and specifications under the direction of senior engineers and project managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a strong contributor on a team tasked with delivering infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
  • Prepare calculations, layouts, modeling, estimates, drawings, and specifications under the direction of senior engineers and project managers.
  • Lead and guide junior engineers and CADD teammates.
  • Work as part of an integrated, multi-discipline team to solve technical challenges.
  • Use software and other tools to develop designs and organize work.
  • Gather, research, and maintain engineering data records including tests, drawings, and field data.
  • May attend site visits and meetings with clients and contractors.
  • May be responsible for construction observation and limited administration.
  • Read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrate strong writing and communication skills.
Requirements
  • BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 4-9 years of experience in project engineering.
  • PE Licensure in one or more of the following: NH, VT with ability to obtain reciprocal licenses in other New England states.
