Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Manager to join our team at Construction Execs. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our real estate development projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate development and construction, with experience in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing projects effectively. Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Asset Management team to identify new development opportunities and ensure thorough site diligence, project design, and construction planning.
  • Direct and manage contractors and third-party consultants throughout the development process.
  • Interact with jurisdictional and municipal authorities to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
  • Facilitate the flow of project information with external parties, including design teams, third-party consultants, contractors, investment partners, and jurisdictional authorities.
  • Organize and oversee the creation of project budgets and schedules.
  • Monitor and manage the cost estimate, contract negotiation, changes, pay apps, budgets, schedule, and close out of all construction activities.
  • Travel to projects periodically to ensure quality of work, schedule, and budgets are being met.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in real estate development and construction, preferably with multifamily or single-family projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
