Job Title: Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at SMS Holdings. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all facets of safety and maintenance building repair programs at the local level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a team of maintenance staff to ensure the efficient operation of facilities
  • Develop and manage the maintenance area budget to ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Monitor and analyze building and equipment performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Plan, supervise, assign, schedule, monitor, train, and evaluate the work of building mechanics and other trades
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Prefer college degree and one to three years of related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
