Job Summary:

The Business Banking Operations - Section Manager 1 is responsible for managing the daily activities of a functional area, including direct reports. This role serves as a subject matter expert for the team and may occasionally work in production as needed. Oversight is available, and sweeping decisions would not be made independently in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Business Banking production of business loans meets established Production, SLA & Quality goals, including assignment of work to functional area team members.
  • Prepare, maintain, and/or monitor reports in compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as primary backup for their manager as needed for team huddles & meetings.
  • Resolve complex working problems.
  • Perform or review Quality Reviews for all colleagues on the team.
  • Review and recommend new methods and procedures to make the area more efficient.
  • Perform tasks as needed to support the line of business and job family.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma.
  • 3+ years' experience with business or commercial lending in a centralized lending environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous management experience.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office and other internet resources; excellence in customer service, highly motivated, focused, and goal-oriented; excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and demeanor; strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning, and follow-up; ability to work independently on multiple tasks without compromising quality.
