Business Office Associate

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The Business Office Associate will facilitate the sales, auction, and appraisal process, ensuring a seamless experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist store personnel and departments in daily functions while adhering to CarMax guidelines
- Provide customer service by greeting customers, balancing traffic, answering questions, and explaining paperwork processes
- Process paperwork associated with retail/wholesale automobile sales, including printing reports, maintaining deal jackets, and contacting finance companies
- Manage multiple pay types, including receiving and counting money, distributing funds, and preparing deposits
- Process paperwork affiliated with the state DMV, including submitting necessary documents for vehicle titling and registration
- Mentor new Business Office Associates and train other store departments on Business Office processes and procedures
Requirements:
- Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records
- Use of resources and partnership to balance customer and business needs
- Understanding of numeric filing systems and intermediate PC skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a deadline-oriented environment
- Physical ability to lift objects weighing up to 15-20 lbs
- Effective communication and listening skills
