POSITION SUMMARY:
The Ambulatory Care Facility Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the management of one or more healthcare facilities that provide outpatient services. This role ensures that the team delivers high-quality, cost-efficient, accessible, and patient-focused care across all service areas, adhering to relevant state, federal, and local regulations. The Supervisor is tasked with developing and maintaining financial budgets while fostering continuous staff development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees the daily functions of outpatient care services across the organization.
- Ensures that the team delivers top-notch care while complying with relevant healthcare standards and regulations.
- Works collaboratively with the Medical Director and other healthcare professionals to establish, implement, and uphold quality patient care practices, aiming to enhance quality metrics and meet client expectations.
- Partners with the Medical Director in defining and executing patient service levels and daily departmental operations.
- Acts as an advocate for patients, addressing and resolving care-related issues.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal communication abilities.
- Develops and monitors financial plans and resource distribution.
- Facilitates ongoing professional development for staff.
- Provides regular feedback to team members and conducts annual performance evaluations for direct reports.
- Creates, implements, and oversees departmental policies and procedures that align with the organization's objectives.
- Manages and resolves human resources, employee safety, and risk management challenges.
- Determines optimal staffing levels for operational needs.
- Establishes processes for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and maintaining staff competency.
- Conducts coaching and counseling sessions as necessary.
- Develops and sustains effective procedures and collaborative relationships with other departments, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders.
- Ensures confidentiality for both staff and patients is upheld.
- Directly supervises departmental activities, ensuring accountability for outcomes related to costs, methods, and personnel. Responsibilities include hiring, planning, assigning, scheduling, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving issues.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Administration or a minimum of five years of experience in a healthcare-related field.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage challenging individuals and situations.
- Experience in staff development along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Accountability for financial management and balancing budgets is essential.
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service and assist in conflict resolution.
- A minimum of two years of managerial experience is required.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support is mandatory.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
- Proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is preferred.
- Fluency in additional languages is considered an asset.
STATUS:
This position is classified as FLSA exempt and is categorized as OSHA high-risk.
