SUMMARY

The Corporate Finance Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Senior Corporate Accountant and Corporate Accounting Manager in managing various facets of the organization's Accounting, Finance, Treasury, and Risk Management operations.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Consolidate, prepare, and distribute monthly financial reports, which include income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Conduct financial statement processing, including journal entries, adjustments, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities for a company with multiple general ledgers.

Monitor monthly operational performance and assist in the preparation of budget-to-actual analyses and variance reports.
Timely and accurately prepare all bank reconciliations.
Support the CFO and Corporate Accounting Manager in the development of quarterly Board presentations and related supporting documents.
Collaborate with the Senior Corporate Accountant in formulating the annual corporate budget and quarterly forecasts.
Oversee fixed asset tracking and prepare entries for depreciation and amortization.
Compile audit schedules for the consolidated company audit.
Assist the Corporate Accounting Controller in enhancing processes related to accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Review and manage state and local business and occupation taxes.
Generate Ad Hoc reports as required.
Assist in establishing entity structures within Yardi, including joint venture partnerships.
Verify and approve invoices for accuracy in vendor details, remittance addresses, amounts, and general ledger coding.
Prepare the annual Personal Property Tax Listing for King County.
Maintain quarterly entity filings and support the upkeep of the company’s organizational structure.

SKILLS + ABILITIES
Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Strong business writing capabilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of accounting experience.
Experience in commercial real estate is preferred but not mandatory.
General ledger experience with the ability to comprehend and prepare basic financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience with Yardi is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
Exhibit professionalism in all aspects of work performance, including a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
